11 Cows Slaughtered in Mukah



MUKAH: Mukah Member of Parliament Dato Sri Dr. Muhammad Leo Michael Toyad, was among the donors of 11 cows slaughtered for sacrifice in conjunction with Aidiladha celebration on Wednesday.
All the cows were donated to Masjid Setia Raja Mukah for distribution to the needy Muslims in the area.
According to the mosque Chairman, Haji Ali Suhaili, this year the mosque received a total of eleven cows for that special occassion.
“From the total of eleven cows, four were from Dato Sri Dr. Muhamad Leo Michael Toyad and two from Juara Cahya Sarawak Sdn Bhd,” he said

He added that the other donors were the 21 participants of Qurban with three cows and another two from 14 participants of Aqiqah.
Before being dressed and placed into packet of plastic bags at the compound of the mosque for distribution, all the cows were slaughtered near the famous Kaul’s site, Taman Kala Dana, which is located about four minute drive from the mosque.
Ali, who is also Dalat/Mukah District Council Walikota, Haji Ali Suhaili, revealed that the distribution of beef has been an annual event for the mosque during the Aidiladha or Hari Raya Haji celebration.
Also present at the event were the organising chairman, Haji Ekeni Haji Wahab, Masjid Setia Raja Trust Board Administrative Officer, Haji Long Haji Bedol, and the volunteers
