MIRI: Tidak salah bagi Pakatan Rakyat (PR) untuk memasang angan-angan dalam Pilihan Raya Umum (PRU) Ke-13 nanti memandangkan negara ini berprinsip demokrasi.
Walau bagaimanapun, Ahli Parlimen Sibuti, Ahmad Lai Bujang berkata bagaimanapun penentuannya terletak di tangan dan kebijakan rakyat jelata untuk menilai mereka (pembangkang).
“Tiada halangan untuk mana-mana parti berdaftar dan layak bertanding bagi mengikuti pilihan raya nanti,” kata Ahmad Lai ketika dihubungi Utusan Borneo petang semalam.

KUCHING: Yayasan Sarawak would be entering an agreement to develop a new property to be known as Wisma Sarawak in Kuala Lumpur.
The seven-storey building, which would have ethnic designs and features depicting the state, was described as a piece of landmark owned by Sarawak in the nation’s capital.

PENRISSEN: Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Bengoh Dr Jerip Susil menempelak kenyataan sesetengah pihak dari bandar yang menyifatkan masyarakat Dayak bodoh kerana menyokong Barisan Nasional (BN) pada pilihan raya negeri lepas.
Menurut penyandang kerusi DUN Bengoh bagi penggal ketiga itu, tindakan masyarakat Dayak menyokong BN bukannya kerana mereka bodoh tetapi menunjukkan kebijaksanaan mereka yang menginginkan kemajuan dan kestabilan hidup.
Katanya, hanya dengan menyokong BN masyarakat berkenaan akan dapat mengecapi kemajuan serta kesejahteraan hidup dari pelbagai aspek termasuk pembangunan, pendidikan, kesihatan dan sebagainya.
Malah, katanya kestabilan dan kemajuan yang dibawa kerajaan BN di kawasan kampung khasnya luar bandar akan membolehkan penduduk setempat menjana pendapatan, dan ia secara tidak langsung turut memberikan manfaat kepada orang bandar melalui proses urus niaga.
“Sebab itu, saya tidak mahu lagi mendengar orang bandar mengatakan orang Bidayuh dan Iban bodoh kerana menyokong BN,” katanya semalam.

The arrest of IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn has all the appearances of a frame-up ordered by powerful members of the financial establishment, in liaison with France's Nicolas Sarkozy, whose presidency has served the interests of the US at the expense of those of France and the European Union. While there is for the moment no proof of a plot, the unusual circumstances of his arrest and imprisonment require careful examination.
