Sejiwa Senada Mukah a big success
MUKAH – Islamic Department of Sarawak (JAIS) was the most visited booth of Mukah Division’s government with the people programme, Sejiwa Senada, which ended on Sunday night(October 8 to 10).
State Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU) Director, Dr. Razali Abon, said, among the matters that brought the visitors to JAIS booth was those related to Halal subject.
“Most of them patronising the JAIS booth were those who wanted to know something about Halal including the procedure of attaining halal certification. Other matters were also those on marriage matter,” he said.
Other top five most visited booths throughout the roadshow, he said, were Employee Provident Fund Board(KWSP), Labour Department, National Registration Department and Federal Financial Office(FFO).
He, who is also the joint-chairman of the event, pointed out that as a whole the roadshow was a very successful one and recorded the second highest number of visitors behind the one held in Sarikei.
The roadshow which was the fifth to be staged in Sarawak, has recorded the second highest number of visitors after Sarikei.
“The latest figure with me this evening for this Mukah Sejiwa Senada is 62,067. And definitely should be more because it will only close at 10.30pm or few hours to go,” he said, while closing the event on Sunday evening.
As a whole, he said, the program surpassed the roadshows held in Sibu, Bintulu and Betong, in term in number of visitors, except Sarikei which recorded 87,000 visitors.
Considering the whole programme very successful, he hoped the participating government agencies would make the effort to improve themselves from time to time, by putting some value added items in the future roadshow.
Dr. Razali, who was representing its advisor, State Secretary, Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani at the event, also gave away prizes to the winners of the e-Peraduan competition.
The competition which saw Leedya Roslee the luckiest of them all, walked away with a brand new motorcycle (EX 5 Honda), complete with vehicle registration number and crash helmet.
Zenty Razilanaty Sahari took the second prize, an accer Laptop, with third spot went to Rabiah Majid and won a latest model handphone (E-5 Nokia).
Besides the top three, the fourth to ninth spot winners also received their prizes in the form of electrical goods at the function.
The function were attended by Mukah Resident cum joint organising chairman, Haji Saudi Haji Narani, his two deputies, Mohamad Junaidi Mohidin(Development), Philip Peter Salam(Social), Mukah District Officer, Mohamad Nawawi, Mukah Division Land & Survey Department Superintendent, Unus Tambi, Mukah Divisional Health Officer, Dr. Osman Haji Rafaie, Dalat/Mukah District Council, Walikota, Ali Suhaili and Mukah Division Agriculture Department Officer in-Charge, Assistant Director, Sanawi Ismail.
One-hundred-ninety booths involving 117 government agencies were participated in roadshow which dubbed as the one stop center which aimed at fostering and bringing the services closer to the people.
