UPDATED KLANG: A group of men stormed a press conference at a restaurant here this evening regarding Anwar Ibrahim's ongoing sodomy trial.
The men, believed to be supporters of Anwar, started hurling abuses at Rahimi Osman, who is purportedly a former aide to the opposition leader.
Among others, the men shouted: “How many millions did you get?” and “We know everything”.

The men, led by PKR vice-presidential hopeful R Suresh Kumar, also threatened to forcefully drag Rahimi out of the restaurant if he did not end the press conference.
According to a media advisory sent out this morning, Rahimi was supposed to “set the record straight” on Anwar's trial.
Anwar has been charged with sodomosing his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
He subsequently called off the press conference.
False statutory declarations
Just before the PC was disrupted, Rahimi told the media that his two statutory declarations on Anwar's alleged sodomy against Saiful was made under duress.

He claimed that he was pressured to lie in favour of Anwar in the two statutory declarations in 2008.

He added that he had also lodged a police report in Klang today over the matter.

It is learnt that he had named the persons who had urged him to file the two statutory declarations despite knowing that it was not the truth.
Why now, asks Anwar's lawyer
In another development, Anwar's lawyer SN Nair denied Rahimi's claim that he was forced to sign the statutory declarations.

“He made the statutory declaration voluntarily and it was in Anwar's favour,” he said in an e-mail statement.

“By the way, why is he making an about turn only now? After about three years?” he asked.

He added that he was unable to say anything more until he had seen Rahimi's police report and the statutory declarations he was referering to.
