CM praised for visionary development projects - Sarawak Coffee Shop And Restaurant Owners’ Association

KUCHING: Sarawak has progressed tremendously under Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud’s leadership and it is hoped that he will bring the state to greater heights while still at the helm of the government, says Sarawak Coffee Shop And Restaurant Owners’ Association Chairman Chua Lang Kwong.

“He started leading Sarawak since the 1960s in his capacity as a Federal Minister until today.

Sarawak has seen tremendous progress. This is undeniable and with his vision he has brought many new projects to the state.

I hope he will continue working hard to bring the state to greater heights in the future,” said Chua.

“We appreciate what the Chief Minister has done for the state,” said Sarawak Textile, Garment and Sundry Goods Association President Wee Hong Seng.

“Under Taib’s leadership, Sarawak has enjoyed political stability and racial harmony, which enable the state to develop progressively. This it itself is not an easy job considering the state’s vast diversity in race and culture.

“He has also planned mega projects for the state, for example, the Sarawak Corridor Of Renewable Energy (SCORE) in the central region.SCORE is for the present and future development of the state. We ought to thank him for what he has done,” said Wee, who is also the BIMP EAEG Tourism Council Malaysia Chairman.

Both entrepreneur leaders were asked by New Sarawak Tribune yesterday to comment on the achievements of Taib who will be celebrating his birthday on 21 May.
