BN gov’t concerned about needs of rural community - Ahmad Lai

MIRI: The rural community must realise that the Barisan Nasional (BN) government is always concerned about their needs.

Member of Parliament for Sibuti Haji Ahmad Lai Bujang reminded the people in Lusut area, especially the residents of Kampung Lusut 5, to be smart in choosing their representatives who could bring development to their areas.

“I am also reminding the people here not to be easily swayed to vote for the opposition who are not capable of bringing development as promised.

“They (the opposition) will only appear during elections. After elections, they will simply disappear and ignore the problems faced by the people.

“But the BN government is always there to care for the people,” said Ahmad at the Kampung Lusut 5 Gawai Dayak 2011 held at Taman Tunku Miri, last Sunday.

At the event, Ahmad urged the residents to remain united and continue to cooperate with the government.

He said squabbling among each other would only destroy themselves.

Also present were Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui, Lambir Assemblyman Ripin Lamat, Political Secretary to Chin, Dato Sebastian Ting and District Boniface Intang.
