ENGKILILI: Members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Engkilili branch will give their full support to Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate contesting in Engkilili constitunecy in the coming state election.
PBB Engkilili branch chief, Dato Sri Douglas Uggah Embas, said he had directed at branch members to give their full support to whoever would be standing as the BN candidate in Engkilili.
“The main objective is to ensure that the BN wins with as big majority as possible in the coming state election,” said Uggah as the closing ceremony of Engkilili Futsal Tournament organised by the Youth wing of PBB Engkilili ast Skrang Scheme’s community hall recently.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment disclosed that his side (PBB) would work closely with Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) to ensure the Engkilili state seat was reatined even it belonged to the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) which also a component paty of the state BN.
“This is what is called the ‘spirit of cooperation’. As PBB Engkilili chief, I have ordered party members in the constituency to go to the ground and get voters to realise the benefit of supporting the BN government,” he said.
Later at the event, Uggah presented prizes the winning teams, namely, the champion Skrang Rela, 1st runner-up PBB Batang Ai Youth and 2nd runner-up Aur Bangat.
Also present were Members of Parliament for Lubok Antu William Nyalau Badak, Bukit Saban assemblyman Robert Lawson Chuat and Engkilili assemblyman Dr Johnnical Rayong Ngipa.
