KUCHING: Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) youth chief Robert Ayu said Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has not future in the country as its leaders were only interested to fight for party positions.
“PKR has been suffering from internal problems throughout the country.
“Leadership infighting is happening all the time,” he said in a comment via SMS yesterday.
He said this clearly indicated that the party had no future in the country.
Robert was commenting on remarks by the chief political secretary to the chief minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Padungan youth chief Haidel Heli that the Semenanjung-based opposition party was a sinking ship.
Both men said many supporters and leaders of the party were expected to quit PKR citing the failure of leadership to practice justice, transparency and good governance in the party.
Meanwhile Haidel was quoted as saying he was puzzled to see a party that claimed to be more democratic than PBB had opted to appoint, instead of electing its state chairman.
“What’s worst, the person is actually appointed by the party leadership in KL,” he claimed.

Haidel Heli was refering to an article, "Hormatilah Sarawak" in the blog www.mudatengah.blogspot.com .
