Opposition has Crab Mentality - Pehin Sri

LIMBANG, Jan 26 (Bernama) — Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud today likened opposition leaders to crabs in their bid for power.

Like crabs, they try to pull down anyone in their midst they see going up, he said.
“This attitude of not wanting to see anyone rise will not enable them to manage a good government or serve the people,” he said when opening a social development and leadership seminar here.
Taib said this was the attitude of the opposition leaders in the fight against Barisan Nasional, using lies and incitement to bring down the government.
“We do not want leaders elected in the next election to have a crab attitude, and should throw out any such leaders,” the state BN chairman said.
Taib said that he certainly did not want any such leaders to be in Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu, of which he is president.
He said the PBB struggle as a BN component was for the people and not for self interest. – BERNAMA
