US has no right to dominate Muslims

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani
Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani says the United States and Zionists are not entitled to dominate Muslims, adding the popular awakening in the region cannot be suppressed with political incentives.

“The US is responsible for the killings in the regions,” Larijani was quoted by ISNA as saying in an address to the 24th International Islamic Unity Conference in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Saturday.

He pointed out that the current situation in the Middle East today is definitely the result of Islamic awakening among Muslims, and that is why the US, Zionists and the dictators affiliated to them are very anxious.

Addressing the regional rulers, Larijani said, “Killing people to safeguard US interests will only make your burden heavier.”

The top Iranian official further underlined the rulers have no choice, but to respect the will of their nations.

“The people [in the region] have shown that their awakening is real,” the parliamentarian noted.

According to Larijani, the Western domination in the region has been hit by a “political earthquake” because of “this awakening.”

Highlighting the fact that the enemy may open a new front to sow discord among Muslims, Larijani underlined, “We need Islamic unity now more than ever.”

He said the enemy does not always seek to trigger religious differences, but sometimes it tries to provoke regional divisions.

“So, Muslims should have a precise understanding of the situation,” the parliament speaker said.

He further underlined that the recent uprisings in the region have their roots in the awakening initiated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini more than thirty years ago.
