Adenan: Goverment always concerned over people’s needs

LUNDU: The presentation of Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants totalling RM135,000 to 26 associations and organisations of Iban, Bidayuh and Selako communities here portrays the concern of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government over the needs of the people.

Special Advisor in the Chief Minister’s Department Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Adenan Satem stated this when presenting the MRP grants at the Lundu Community Hall on Friday.

“Regardless of anybody, as long as they are Tanjong Datu constituents, we give MRP grant.

Last week, it was the Chinese Community, before that the Malay community and today, the Iban, Bidayuh and Selako communities. Therefore, all the communities in my constituency have received the MRP grants.

“This is the approach of the BN government which is always aware of the needs of all the communities,” said Adenan.

He advised the associations and organisations that had received MRP grants to use the funds for organising various activities that could benefit their respective communities.

He stressed that grants were continued to be given by BN and not just when election was around the corner.
