Pehin Sri : We are ready

KUCHING: Sarawak's Barisan Nasional elected representatives are ready to have a meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak during his visit to Miri this Sunday.
 Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud said that during the meeting they would present to the Prime Minister detai led repor ts about thei r respective constituencies .
"They (BN elected representatives) are ready," Taib told the media when attending a Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) Chinese New Year open house at SUPP Headquarters' Dewan Saati here on Thursday the first day of the Chinese New Year.

"BN elected representatives are grateful to be given the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and talk directly to him about the political situation in the state.
"Our Prime Minister is a person who likes to know about a lot of things that are happening on the ground which are only known by the leaders on the ground.
BN elected representatives from other states have also met him over the past one year.
"And, we will have a good briefing.Problems, there are a lot and we in BN know there are a lot of problems and we have been elected to find solutions to these problems.
"What we can do, we have done.What we have to do we will continue to do again," Taib said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister extended his greetings and best wishes to all the Chinese community and hoped that they would be well represented in the state government so as to be able to play better and active role in building a multi-racial Sarawak.
"So 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' to all of them and may they become true Sarawakians in helping to build this country", Taib said The Chief Minister and his wife Puan Sri Ragad Waleed Alkurdi were among thousands of people from all walks of life who attended the SUPP CNY open house here on the first day of Chinese New Year.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, who is also SUPP President, led party leaders to receive and welcome the visitors.
