ALL EYES ON THE MAN... Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud arrives at PBB headquarters in Kuching to announce the BN candidates for the state election today - NSTpix by Rosdan Wahid.
KUCHING: Ketua Menteri Sarawak yang juga Presiden Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, akan mempertahan kerusi N.51 Balingian pada pilihan raya negeri ke-10 pada 16 April ini.
Turut mempertahan kerusi masing-masing ialah tiga pemimpin parti komponen Barisan Nasional (BN) Sarawak iaitu Presiden Parti Rakyat Bersatu Sarawak (SUPP), Tan Sri George Chan Hong Nam ( N.63 Piasau); Presiden Parti Demokratik Progresif Sarawak (SPDP), Datuk Seri William Mawan Ikom (N.41 Pakan) dan Presiden Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Datuk Seri Dr James Jemut Masing (N.56 Baleh).
Antara pemimpin lain yang akan bertanding semula ialah Naib Presiden Kanan PBB, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, di kerusi N.71 Bukit Sari dan bekas Menteri Persekutuan, Tan Sri Adenan Satem, di kerusi N.03 Tanjung Datu.
Senarai calon BN itu diumumkan Adenan selepas mesyuarat parti komponen BN Sarawak di Ibu Pejabat PBB di sini, sebentar tadi.
