Sarawak should have more aviation say instead of Khazanah monopoly on decisions

PBB Youth: Give state more say in aviation policy

Borneo Post October 24, 2011, Monday
KUCHING: For Sarawak to overcome the problem of frequent cancellation of flights which had badly affected its tourism sector, the state should be allowed to have its own aviation policy said PBB Youth economic bureau chief Abdul Aziz Adenan yesterday.
He said the latest news that Firefly would be redeployed into short-haul premium full-service of MAS would badly affect Sarawakians because the prices of the flights would be exorbitant.
“The PBB Youth Economic Bureau also hopes that talks of Khazanah Nasional scrapping Firefly flights to the state but would continue flying from Penang and Subang would not materialise ,” he added.
