One-stop centre mulled to raise awareness on services - Naroden Majais

KUCHING: The Alliance of Malay Economic Bodies (Gabem) is considering to establish a one-stop centre here to raise awareness among Bumiputera entrepreneurs on facilities and services available at government agencies.
There are more than 30 relevant institutes available at federal and state agencies to help entrepreneurs and businesses, but Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Entrepreneur Development) Mohd Naroden Majais was concerned that knowledge and awareness of such facilities was low, especially among rural entrepreneurs.

Power tariffs in Sarawak cheaper than in Penang - Tengah

LIMBANG: Power tariffs for commercial and industrial use in Sarawak are relatively cheaper than those in Penang.
Besides that, the state government has absorbed the cost of domestic use for about 80,000 poor Sarawakians.
Minister of Public Utilities Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, who is also Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management, said this in response to allegations that power tariffs in the state were more expensive than in Semenanjung Malaysia.
“The government absorbed the cost of RM 9.6 million to enable between 70,000 to 80,000 people enjoy free electricity if their consumption was RM 20 or below monthly,” he said.

KUCHING, 21 Jan (Bernama) — Jabatan Tanah dan Survei Sarawak akan meneruskan usaha mengukur tanah Hak Adat Bumiputera (NCR) di 107 kawasan yang dikenalpasti dalam tempoh dua tahun, bermula tahun ini
Menteri Perancangan dan Pengurusan Sumber II Sarawak Datuk Awang Tengah Ali Hasan berkata kerajaan persekutuan telah memperuntukkan sejumlah RM60 juta kepada Sarawak untuk mengukur tanah NCR seluas 377,000 hektar yang telah
dikenalpasti bagi kerja pengukuran perimeter tanah itu.
